Reading Emergency Unit offers a wide array of services to meet the needs of our community. Our services include:

Since its establishment, Reading Emergency Unit has been a integral part of the community we serve. REU hosts several community events throughout the year. One of our most popular events is our Camp 911. Camp 911 is a program we offer for children ages 9-12 to learn First Aid/ CPR and various safety practices. This camp is offered every summer. Click Here for a PDF copy of this year's program.
Another one of our programs is "Stuff-an-Ambulance." Every year REU places an ambulance at various food stores across Hillsdale County before Thanksgiving and Easter. The goal is to "stuff the ambulance" with food and other non-perishable household items for needy families. After the ambulance has been stuffed, the food and other items are then taken to the local Salvation Army which then distributes it to families across Hillsdale County.
Reading Emergency Unit also provides stand-by services to local schools during sporting events. Also, these same services are offered for various community festivals. Every year an REU trailer is stationed at the Hillsdale County fair along with an ambulance. The goal is to not only provide EMS services to community members at the fair, but to also educate the public about EMS and the services we offer.
